Ukrainian start-up teaches the military at the “Smart Home” robotics course
Nanit Robot, a Ukrainian robotics, electronics and programming startup, approached military training with an understanding of how to apply modern technology for effective military use.
Through courses in robotics and programming, the company teaches the military how to build and maintain robots for intelligence, surveillance, communications.
Currently, 60% of the students on the course are military, but this also has great advantages for the civilian population.
In addition, the course can improve professional skills or become an engineer from scratch developing smart systems that can be used to ensure the safety and efficiency of military operations.
One of the graduates of the course is Ihor:
“On the course, I gained knowledge of physics and electronics, learned to assemble simple circuits and complex ones from simple ones, searched for documentation on devices and their properties, to work in the Arduino IDE environment. Thanks to these classes, I learned about digitalization at factories that are assigned to me worldwide and the construction of drones – I realized that a flight module for one copter could cost 250 UAH, not 3,000-6,000 UAH. That’s $7 instead of $170.” – Ihor, a graduate of the “Smart House” course.
“The course turned out to be very informative, since both components, and programming, and sensors and the principles of their operation are completely new to me. It’s cool that there is constant support from the team and the sketch is prescribed by the teacher during the class” – Vasyl, a graduate of the “Smart Home” course.
